COMPACT SUB-STATION

Packaged  substation  is  a  combination  of the  Ring  Main  unit,  The Transformer  and the  Low-Voltage  panel.  These substations are used for effective electrical power distribution in medium voltage to low voltage distribution systems.

We Supply packaged Substation both with  Dry and Oil cooled Transformer as per Customer Requirement. The  Packaged  Substation  market  was  created  when  distribution  utilities  started  to  move    from  overhead  to underground power lines.  With  cables underground,  the traditional,  large step-down substation  (with  its overhead lines)  became impractical.  Customers  now  require  a  compact  piece of equipment  that  could  be installed  quickly with a  minimum amount of site work, but still providing  the same functionality as an  overhead  line substation. Substation enclosure design, layout, material and appearance have always been in constant development to provide continuous power in a safe and optimized way.

SPECIAL FEATURES OF PSS

  • Access to the MV & LV compartment provided through a double door arrangement.
  • Louvers designed for natural ventilation and per temperature rise limit
  • Adequate clearance inside the PSS
  • Roof load withstand capability- 300 kG/M2
  • MV & LV compartment designed – IP54, & Transformer compartment designed – IP23 (IP 34 as per customer’s Requirement)
  • MV & LV internal connection are made from Aluminum/Copper Bus-bars or XLPE cable along with termination (Heat shrink Sleeve -11 kV Min.)
  • Each compartment patrician are made from 3 mm CR sheet, all compartment have double door with pad lock arrangement or lock protected system, Transformer compartment have both side double door arrangement for easy access for connection and maintenance
  • MV switch board facilitated with RMU (Manual)  non extensible indoor type.
  • LV switch board fuse protected with a main incomer along with require feeder or a compact type main Air circuit breaker or a molded case circuit breaker (by request of customer)
  • Internal lighting of all compartment along with door safety lock arrangement & Heater
  • LV metering system are optional
  • Internal Earthing made by 60 XS -Aluminum or 25 X 2 mm Copper bus-bars
