Dry Type Transformers

We are one of the most significant producers of Dry Type transformers. Our expertise is in the production of Dry Type transformers up to 440 V to 33 kV (75 kVA to 5000 kVA) and we are constantly involved in R&D for better and future-ready products. UNITRANS POWER LLP is capable to serve high quality products, with excellent performance with various applications.

• WHAT IS A TRANSFORMER?

The transformer is an electric electromagnetic induction machine whose function is to transfer electrical power between two different voltage systems at the same frequency.

• WHY DRY TYPE TRANSFORMER ?

There are two types of DRY type transformer one of them known as cast resin Transformer and another is known as vacuum pressure impregnated transformer,

CAST RESIN DRY TYPE TRANSFORMER

It is used in the high moisture prone areas. It is because of its primary and secondary windings are encapsulated with epoxy resin.  This  encapsulation  helps  to  prevent moisture  to  penetrate to affect the winding material. Complete protection is achieved by this cast resin encapsulation so that the Transformer can work without disruption in highly moisture prone area. Thus this transformer is non-hygroscopic.

VACUUM PRESSURE IMPREGNATED TRANSFORMER

This ape of transformer is made by minimum flammable material it is a man insulation of HVLV windings. This type of transformer made from Foil or Strip in continuous layer. However in higher voltage the winding is made by disk winding pattern, The insulation of winding is void free varnished impregnation under high vacuum. Varnish Insulation will be used as per customer’s requirements in class of F or H.

To seleH the correct type of transformer, it is necessary to know it’s different eleHrical and thermal properties. Another key parameter, when selecting the transformer is the type of operation for which it is intended. Dry Type transformers technical comparison over oil cool transformer.

• IMPORTANT FACTORS OF OUR DESIGN

Let   us   explain   in   brief   the   important   design   parameters   for    a    dry    type    transfo r mer. Choice of Insulation Type: Generally F and H class of insulation of insulation is used to insulate the primary and secondary winding. It is because these classes have high temperature withstand property, i.e. 155°C for F and 180”C for H class of insulation. Apart from the temperature withstand capability, mechanical strength; dielectric strength and resistance to thermal shock are the basic capabilities that have to be fulfilled by the insulation selected for the windings.

• QUALITY CONTROL

UNITRANS POWER LLP, quality control was carried out according to lSO9O01:2015quality, management and production standard. Each product is being inspected and tested by Engineers, auditors and QA inspectors according to the production standards and requirements set before it gets into the next process/stage. The product’s quality and reliability are ensured by our qualitative management procedure, serious working attitude and advanced testing equipments.
